BARCELONA - CATEDRAL

Já na zona do Bairro Gótico encontramos este monumento. Não há maior símbolo do gótico catalão do que a Catedral de Barcelona. A sua construção foi iniciada em 1298, mas só no século XX foi finalizada. 

Na praça em frente à catedral, todos os fins de semana dança-se a Sardana (dança folclórica típica da Catalunha). No interior da catedral existe um pequeno claustro rodeado por palmeiras, onde os turistas costumam parar para fotografar tanto a pequena e graciosa fonte, com os cisnes. No interior pode ainda visitar as 29 capelas, ou subir ao telhado, e ver a vista sobre a cidade.

O custo da entrada é de 6€, e tal como no Vaticano deve acautelar as vestimentas.

Barcelona-The Cathedral

There is no greater symbol of the Catalan Gothic then the Cathedral of Barcelona. It's construction was started in 1298, but only in the twentieth century was ended.

In the square in front of the cathedral, all weekends the Sardana is danced (folk dance typical of Catalonia). Inside the cathedral there is a small cloister surrounded by palm trees, where tourists often stop to photograph the small and graceful fountain and the white swans. Inside you can also visit the 29 chapels, or climb to the roof and see the view over the city.

The entry fee is 6€, and as the Vatican you must be carefull with the garments.
