One of the things I liked best about the French is their love for the outdoors and the sun, which leads them to seek constantly the practice of sport activities in open spaces, and small moments of rest and recreation in parks or gardens. Indeed, for such a large city, Paris devotes much of it's area to green areas, and I saw the French very inculcated in the culture of jogging and walking.
Luxembourg Garden ended with great quality, our third day on the City of Light. It was ordered in 1615 by Maria de Medici, wife of Henry IV. Expect many visitors, both local and tourists, all on a single mission: enjoying the sun!
In the center of the large garden there's an octagonal lake, that serves as center stage for dozens of iron chairs available to all. Besides all the obvious natural attractions scattered through the gardens, there are also several statues of French Queens, the Luxembourg Museum (Museum of Contemporary Art), a School of Apiculture and La Orangerie (well known for various exibits of Art).
It is the ideal place to feel like a Frenchman.
