A ESTRELA NO VERÃO TAMBÉM É SERRA (CONT.)

Partimos em direção ao Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela. Almoço marcado no Museu do Pão, em Seia. Desde 2002, este museu tem o objetivo de preservar e divulgar a história e cultura deste alimento. Dentro do complexo encontra um Restaurante, uma Mercearia, e um Museu. Na Mercearia pode comprar pão, doces de fruta e mel, ou peças de artesanato da região. 

À mesa sentou-se o chouriço e o presunto, o bacalhau e a carne de porco. Houve ainda lugar para o Leite Creme e para o Arroz Doce. Já com a barriga farta e o coração cheio, fomos em direção à torre.

Da Lagoa Comprida pouco se viu por causa do nevoeiro. Na Torre, os 10ºC de temperatura pouco convidaram a passeios, além disso nem um palmo à frente do nariz se avistava. Na descida até Manteigas, as paisagens compensaram a viagem e a vista sobre o vale Glaciar do Zêzere é linda!

Em jeito de resumo o percurso efetuado nestes dias foi assim:

Conte sempre com alguns kilómetros, mas a variedade de paisagem e locais para visitar é enorme. Devo confessar que não ia à Serra da Estrela desde miúda (eu sei...eu sei...) mas do que me lembro gostei ainda mais de a rever nesta época do ano.

We headed to the Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela. Lunch appointment at the Museum of Bread in Seia. Since 2002, this museum aims to preserve and promote the history and culture of this food. Within the complex you will find a restaurant, a grocery, and a museum. At the grocery you can buy bread, fruit jam, honey and crafts of the region.

At the table sat the chorizo ​​and the ham, the cod and the pork. There was still room for Leite Creme and Rice Pudding. With a full belly and a full heart, we headed towards the tower.

We didn't see much of the Long Lagoon because of the fog. At the Tower, the 10 º C of temperature just weren't inviting to tours. On the descent to Manteigas, the landscape and vieas over the Glacier Valley of Zêzere were beautiful!

You can always count with a few kilometers, but the variety of scenery and places to visit is huge. I must confess I was a small girl when I last visited Serra da Estrela (I know ... I know ...) but from what I can remember I loved it even more  at this time of year.
