Ir a Roma e não ver o Papa...É possível e eu consegui! Mas vi a Basílica de São Pedro ah pois é! E foi sem dúvida a fila mais comprida, desesperante e desorganizada em que eu estive...nunca tinha visto tanta gente para entrar num monumento.
Ora a Basílica foi mandada construir em 326 por Constantino, supostamente no local onde S.Pedro havia sido sepultado. Foi reconstruída no ano 1452, com a colaboração de Bernini e Miguel Ângelo.
Optámos por não visitar o Museu do Vaticano, já que uns amigos nossos tinham estado lá e disseram que não valia a pena...agora não sei. Mas de qualquer forma vimos a Basílica, e é lindíssima!
Go to Rome and not seeing the Pope ... i is possible and I did it! But I saw the Basilica of St. Peter oh yeah! And it was certainly the longest, desperate and disorganized queue that I ever saw... so many people to get into a monument.
Now the basilica was built in 326 by Constantine, supposedly where St. Peter was buried. It was rebuilt in the year 1452, with the collaboration of Bernini and Michelangelo.
We opted not to visit the Vatican Museum, as one of our friends had been there and said it was not worth it ... I'm not shure. But anyway, we saw the Basilica, and is beautiful!
