ROMA-PRAÇA DE ESPANHA E PRAÇA DO POVO (DIA #3)

Numa localização intimista e acolhedora, encontramos a Praça do Povo e a Capela de Santa Maria del Popolo. Foi fundada em 1099 no local da sepultura de Nero, e merece uma passagem pela sua beleza simplista. Bem larga, estende-se a Praça, servindo de ponto de encontro às centenas de pessoas que se encontram por ali.

Também na Praça de Espanha, se reunem turistas e visitantes, quer dispersos pelos degraus, quer em volta da Fonte della Barcaccia, projetada por Bernini. Mais de 50 fontes estão dispersas pela cidade, todas alimentadas pela água da fonte Aqua Virgo. A primeira fonte alimentada por estas águas, é a fonte da Praça de Espanha. Daí é encaminhada para outras, incluindo a Fonte de Trevi. 

Este é um local de eleição para fazer compras em lojas de marca. Em redor da Praça pode visitar os Jardins da Villa Medici, o Palazzo Barberini, e o Monte Quirinal.

Rome-Spain's Square and People's Square (day #3)

Located in an intimate and cozy spot, we find the People's Square and the Chapel of Santa Maria del Popolo. It was founded in 1099 on the site of the tomb of Nero, and deserves a passage for it's simplistic beauty. Very wide is the Square with the same name, serving as a meeting point for the hundreds of people passing there.

Also in the Plaza of Spain, tourists and visitors gather around the stairs or around the Fountain della Barcaccia, designed by Bernini. More than 50 fountains are scattered through the city, all fed by spring water from Aqua Virgo. The first fountain fed by these waters, is the fountain on the Plaza de España. Hence is forwarded to others, including the Trevi Fountain.

This is a popular spot for shopping in griffe stores. Around the square you can visit the gardens of the Villa Medici, the Palazzo Barberini and the Quirinale Hill.
